Yihao and Xuan were married at the Como Zoo Conservatory surrounded by a small band of excellent people. Working with bridal parties and families, we’re always looking for ways to make them laugh a little, and in the case of Yihao and Xuan’s wedding party, it was non-stop teasing. And they took it so well and even kept the teasing going on amongst themselves. We had one friend who was taking a picture with Xuan and first I noticed his tie was crooked, half a second later Kuba told him to unbutton his jacket, so I immediately called out, “now fix your hair!” The thing about teasing anyone is you have to be past the formal “new acquaintance” stage. Yihao, Xuan and their friends welcomed us in right away. Within an hour of the day starting, it felt like we’d known them for years.
Dare I say, they are wonderful people because they have three cats? Or perhaps, having three cats is indicative of the fact that they are wonderful people. Either way, their cats are dang cute. Xuan gave them little tux collars and a veil so they looked right spiffy for the wedding day and I’m sure they’re happy that their owners have re-tied the knot! Wait, they’re cats…so they don’t give a hoot, but we love them anyway!
