We were so excited when the day Maggie and Fritz’s wedding finally arrived! We met with them a couple times at their venue, Eko Backen, because the barn was still being built and having the finishing touches put on it. It turned out to be stunning on top of the hill and I’m so glad we got to see it a few times during the transformation.
Fritz and Maggie put so many amazing little touches on their day, but each of them had one huge project that really stood out. Maggie handmade every single origami paper crane that hung behind them at the ceremony and scattered throughout the reception – hundreds of cranes! The couple also asked Maggie’s favorite musician, Ernie Halter, to write them a song for their first dance. Fritz took it one step further, however. He secretly planned to surprise Maggie by having Ernie come to the wedding and perform the song live, as well as playing live music for the guests throughout cocktail hour. Wow!
