The week before Nick and Sean’s wedding, I was filming a financial conference. It was a fun week in its own way, but this day, these two, and their genuinely joyful guests were a stark contrast and a shock to the system – love and color everywhere!!! I’m so honored to have been present to capture this amazing celebration.
They also walked away with an amazing keepsake for the future that I’ve never seen before. In addition to writing to each other, their closest friends all wrote notes to them and placed them in a nice box to be opened later. I have seen couple’s write to each other and seal the letters up with a nice wine bottle to be opened on anniversaries or, alternatively, whenever the couple needs to reconnect. I think that’s a great tradition, but the whole idea of a wedding (versus an elopement) is to bring in friends and family, to celebrate with them and see your whole support system at once. After the wedding day, when everyone departs, this is an amazing way to offer them a way to stay involved beyond visiting the photo booth or writing something quick in the guestbook. Love it!
