Alex and Jordan had their reception at Minneapolis Golf Club. As soon as we arrived there, I felt such a great energy from all of their guests. They were so friendly! As they came in for their Grand Entrance, I was walking backward about 10 feet ahead of them, and I stopped just short of two ladies. As Alex and Jordan passed by, the two women smiled at me. “Don’t worry,” one said, “we were ready to catch you if you backed up any farther!”
Then during the toasts, I was kneeling in between tables, and one of the bridesmaids bouquets was covering part of Alex’s face. The guest right next to the head table must have noticed me shifting to try to get her face, and with a wink, he slid the flowers across the table so I could see Alex and Jordan together. Amazing! The guests we sat with during dinner were equally kind.
Of course, knowing Alex and Jordan like we do now, I shouldn’t have been surprised. They are both so sweet and good-humored, it would make sense that they would bring together a wonderful group of people on their wedding day.
