We posted a few months ago about how excited we were for Travis and Maria’s wedding. Everything about it was unique and had special meaning for them. They wanted the ceremony to be intimate, with just close family and friends, but they also wanted a big reception party. So they split the wedding celebration into two days and everything took place in beautiful Lanesboro, which I now believe is the cutest town in Minnesota. On Friday, they had a their ceremony at the fish hatchery, which they had access to via a family connection and on Saturday, they turned the local golf club into a simple but classy party spot complete with a band, food truck and a dance floor under the stars.
I think Maria and Travis may have missed their callings as an event planning team, because at each location they started almost or completely from scratch. They weren’t decorating a venue; they were dreaming up and creating them! If there are any engaged couples out there reading this and thinking it is at all easy, it is NOT. Most couples find their weddings stressful enough and they are not usually coordinating things like how to get a food truck up a golf course’s cliff-like driveway, where to rent a generator last minute and a million other little things that had to get done. Through it all, they both kept their cool – it was amazing. We are so honored they chose us to be a part of their wedding we know we will continue to be amazed by them in the years to come.
