We met up with Justin and Kanaka in our new front yard, St. Anthony Main, and had so much fun at their engagement session we ended up grabbing dinner with them at Aster Cafe. Kanaka teaches 9th grade English, and in case you don’t remember, that’s the year you read Romeo and Juliet. She plays the 1996 film version of the play for her class and she says they don’t really “get it” while she thinks it’s romantic as heck! We thought the same about these two. Justin was so sweet to Kanaka, offering her a piggyback ride when her feet started hurting (cute shoes are often not foot-friendly!). We can’t wait for their wedding next year!
